Chapter Meeting

Speaker: This week, member Mira Wilson will be doing a presentation on drones. Check out her bio below and be sure not to miss this exciting and and educational event!

Mira is a professional test pilot for remotely piloted aircraft with over 1500 hours of experience flying UAVs of all shapes and sizes. From a young age, her fascination with things that fly—from little RC helicopters and planes to later racing drones—acted as her gateway into aviation. She is an instrument-rated private pilot, holds a bachelor's degree in aviation technology from Kansas State University, and is currently pursuing her commercial pilot certificate. In her free time Mira enjoys building and flying her personal fleet of UAVs among other electronics projects. She's an active member of the local New Jersey 99s chapter, NGPA, and is passionate about supporting gender diversity in all areas of aviation.

Come listen and learn as she talks about some of her experience with drones and other remotely piloted aircraft - what they are and how they work, a little history, and how they're an important facet of modern aviation.

Business Agenda: TBD

Location: Aero Safety Training, Lincoln Park Airport
