Spring Flyout Challenge 2022

Back by popular demand, we offered our second annual Spring Flyout Challenge, where over 50 aviators joined our challenge to fly to 10 participating airports over the month of May. Seven of our participants flew the “Decaerodrome,” managing to circulate to all 10 airports in our 5 state route. Our event goals were to:

  • Inspire pilots and student pilots to fly to unique and engaging airports, creating challenging flight plans.

  • Support GA airports and their communities and help expose pilots to airports they might have overlooked.

  • Raise money for scholarship opportunities. The success of this event enabled us to increase the scholarship amount offered in 2022.

Sponsors included Lightspeed Aviation, NFlightCam, Best Buy East Hanover, AeroSafety Training, and finally - a ride in a Boeing Stearman (courtesy of Andover Flight), for those participants eligible for the Decaerodrome Award.
